Timeless Threads

I made Poppy over a year ago and she became a gift for a friend. She was made from handspun, white wool. She was new but vintage in spirit, freshly knitted with the appearance of an old rabbit. I decided to draw her from a photograph I had taken with her before she went to her forever home. I am most proud of the knitted texture I was able to achieve with my graphite pencils. She comes back alive for me on the paper, and her button eyes gleam like Poppy’s eyes did. I hope this drawing makes its owner just as happy as Poppy made me.
